£38,134 – £55,096 inclusive per annum

Full-time, permanent position
 
The Trust invites applications from well-qualified and enthusiastic A level Physics teachers. This is a great opportunity to work in a friendly and successful department. This is a full-time, permanent position. ECTs are welcome to apply.
 
Salaries will be on the sixth form college teachers main scale between Point 2 and Point 9, currently £34,752 and £51,714, plus London Weighting £3,382 per annum.

Essential Requirements
 
• Honours degree in Physics or related discipline.
• PGCE or equivalent post-16 teaching qualification.
• Ability to teach A level Physics.
• Enthusiasm for Physics and an ability to convey that enthusiasm.
• Excellent classroom skills with the ability to employ a range of teaching strategies which engage and support students in the promotion of high-quality learning.
• Willingness to contribute positively to the work of the department through collaborative planning and the sharing of teaching ideas and resources.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Evaluative approach to own teaching and willingness to try new activities.
• An openness to feedback and self-reflection in wider professional duties.
• Ability to assess student progress effectively and provide clear and constructive feedback using assessment for learning to support good progression.
• Skilled at using assessment data and prior learning to inform planning.
• Good ICT skills including being able to use interactive whiteboards, graphing software and spreadsheets to support teaching and learning in and out of the classroom setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for being a personal tutor to post-16 students.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to super-curricular and extra-curricular activities including Stem enrichment activities, such as clubs, competitions, talks or outreach.
• Understanding of and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in practice.
• Commitment to safeguarding the interests and needs of young people.
 
Desirable
 
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Teams to set work and communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
• Interest in contributing to the development of departmental teaching resources, including the use of new technologies to support learning.
